Metro Rail
The Navi Mumbai Metro Line 1 is revolutionizing commuting in Kharghar. This metro line, covering a distance of approximately 11.1 kilometers, connects Belapur, Kharghar, Taloja, and Pendhar. With multiple stations planned in the city, the metro significantly reduces travel time and provides a reliable mode of transportation for residents and commuters
Phase 1 of the metro commences from Belapur Terminal, Belapur till Pendhar Station, near Taloja, with the extension plan of connecting Pendhar, Taloja MIDC, Kalamboli, towards Under Construction Navi Mumbai International Airport(NMIA).

Road Networks(KTLR Project)
On the Proposed Infrastructure part we have great news coming in! The “KTLR Project”. The KTLR(or Kharghar-Turbhe Link Road) is an upcoming major project in the vicinity area of Kharghar, that will link Kharghar to Turbhe via a Tunnel road. The proposed Plan will make use of the Tunnel-Engineering method where one end starts towards Tata Memorial Hospital road(Pandavkada Hills as per the proposed plan) and the other end will open connecting the Thane-Belapur road towards the Thane side.

As this project is under the proposed state, the estimated time travel duration between Turbhe and Kharghar will be cut off by approximately 20-25 mins…currently, the Detailed Project Report(DPR) has already been prepared by CIDCO and the pre-construction phase is already kicked-off with a completion deadline by 2026(tentative).
A New Era of Business Estates.
Kharghar has emerged as an Educational hub, Healthcare Facilities, and Recreational spaces with numerous schools and colleges offering quality education, to the most well-equipped Medical facilities.
Now, The area is going to be the home to New Business Estates- “BKC2”. CIDCO is planning BKC2(or Proposed Bandra-Kurla Complex 2) that will cater to Corporate Cosmos and will bring a highly anticipated Office Workplace in the greenery area of Navi Mumbai where there are ample Scenic views of Waterfalls, Mountain ranges, and great connectivity.
Kharghar is soon going to be addressed as a Business District in Navi Mumbai apart from Residential units as previously Airoli was considered a Business Hub because of MindSpace and Top Offices like Accenture, Siemens, JIO, etc. Currently, the project is in the design phase, and as of now, no official updates regarding the project start date and deadline have been finalized.
