Before the actual work can begin, it is necessary to obtain all necessary legal permits, including forest permits, land acquisition, resettlement, and rehabilitation. ₹205.49 lakh has been earmarked for the fiscal year 2023-24 to initiate this flagship project.

The project starts from the Sion-Panvel Expressway opposite Juinagar railway station and ends near Gurudwara/Kharghar Central Park.
